Washington Rehab Center
A Well-Rounded Treatment Program
A high quality Washington rehab center is more than just a nice location or comfortable amenities. It’s about the staff you work with. It’s about the methods the staff uses. And it’s about things like enjoying sober activities, spending time with friends, and having a chance to heal.
Thankfully, our Washington rehab center offers everything needed for an effective treatment program. Learn about everything we have to offer, and see what makes us unique.
A Compassionate Rehab Center
In keeping with a compassionate and well-rounded perspective, Discover Recovery uses a holistic treatment plan. This means treatment for a “whole person.” We believe alcoholism and addiction affect every aspect of life. Lasting recovery involves healing the mind, body, and spirit
Addiction Treatment Tracks
We believe that recovery is an ongoing process. The work doesn’t stop at the end of rehab. We work with clients from the first day they stop abusing substances to the weeks and months after treatment. We offer several stages of treatment to address the evolving needs of our clients.
After residential, clients work on developing healthy lives outside of treatment. We offer ongoing alumni support and aftercare. Before leaving residential, we develop individualized plans for each client so that all our graduates can stay close to recovery after leaving treatment.
There are many modalities, or models of therapy that treatment centers use but some are more common than others. Discover Recovery uses evidence-based treatment modalities to help our clients. This means that psychology professionals have done research and proven that these forms of therapy work.
Because every client’s needs are different, a client might not experience every treatment modality that we offer. But no matter what, clients can rest assured that we use proven and effective methods for their individual treatment plan.
Our Washington rehab center utilizes:
Drug addiction and substance abuse is a problem that a lot of people face on a daily basis. Everyday, millions of people all over the world fall prey to this chronic disease. However, we are fighting back. With a number of treatment facilities and rehabilitation centers available for patients all over the country, there’s still a chance for people with substance abuse issues.
Pscyho Educational Groups
While group therapies and process therapies are non-specific groupings of people suffering from substance abuse, we offer specific groups for people who are also suffering from another type of mental health disorder aside from drug or alcohol addiction. Together the group can learn about their diagnosis and discuss issues that are relevant to that disorder.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an individualized treatment plan (or one-on-one therapy plan) wherein a client talks to a trained professional to identify any negative behaviors or thoughts they might have that contributes to their condition. The aim of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is to identify the problem, find a solution, and to improve their quality of life.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectal Behavior Therapy or DBT is another form of therapy offered here in Discovery Recovery. This method was developed in the 1980’s by a psychologist named Marsha Linehan. Dialectical Behavior Therapy, unlike Cognitive Behavior Therapy, is primarily used for clients who have self-injuring tendencies and suicidal behavior. This type of treatment involves four major parts; group skills dynamics, one-on-one psychotherapy, phone support/coaching, and ongoing support from therapists.
Discovery Recovery understands the importance of family in a person’s life and we see your loved ones as the ones who can help you get through the bad times. However, most families also have long histories that complicate the interpersonal relationships between family members. This is why we always have family counseling and therapy in our treatment facility. We have designed it in a way that we help clients and their families develop open channels of communication, solve old issues and trauma, and move towards the road of recovery together.
Holistic and Experiential Activities
Not all therapies in Discovery Recovery require you to sit on a chair for hours inside a boring room. We also have a number of non-traditional therapies available for clients who have issues that are far from traditional.
Healthy Living Practices
A client’s stay in Discovery Recovery’s treatment facility can last only a couple of months but recovery is more of a lifelong effort. No matter how good the treatment is, if a client does not follow through after their stay they’ll still find it hard to stay on course towards sobriety. This is the reason why we always make sure to impart healthy living practices to our clients so that they will have a better chance of making it through life without relapsing.
12 Step Programming
The 12-step method was originally created by the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous and is now used by various organizations and treatment centers to help out people with substance abuse issues. The original 12-step program heavily focused on spirituality but even non-religious groups have found success in using the program.
